The Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) rules changed after 5th April 2014. You can still claim SSP from your employer (ie, your own limited company), but the company can no longer claim this back from the government, so there is obviously no point doing this as a limited company contractor. Instead, you might be able to claim Employment and Support Allowance (ESA). There is more information about this via the link below:
